Ryan is a small business owner of a small animal veterinary clinic, husband to Molly and dad to Lily (9) and Rowan (6). He grew in a small steel town in West Virginia and is the son and grandson of Union Steelworkers. After graduating high school, he attended West Virginia University for his undergraduate studies then attended Ohio State Veterinary College. After being raised with a strong sense of service he was commissioned as a Captain in the US Army. His service began as the Officer in Charge of a Veterinary Treatment Facility at Andrews Air Force Base then served as the Force Veterinarian of the Multinational Force and Observers in Egyptian Sinai Peninsula for 1 year. Following his overseas posting he separated from the Army and entered private practice in Annapolis, MD. In 2012 he and his young family moved to Northern Kentucky to establish roots and raise his family. In 2015 he opened a small animal veterinary practice in Fort Mitchell, KY. Over the last 5 years as a business owner he has been an active community member. It became apparent that the community and the diversity of it were not represented in Frankfort. The focus of his campaign will be strengthening public education, advocating for affordable health care, an economy that benefits all the citizenry not just the wealthy and well connected, and advocating for Veterans.
